How does the Spear Programme work?

A free programme that works!

Spear is a free programme for 16-24s who aren’t earning or learning. Our coaches support you to find your confidence, learn skills and succeed in interviews.

It works! Over 7 in 10 who complete Spear are in work or education a year later.

Here’s what the programme looks like:

1. Sign up

We work with local organisations like the Jobcentre to find people who’ll benefit from Spear.

You can also apply directly – there’s a button below.

Groups are 10-15 young people

2. We coach

Spear Foundation

You’ll have group coaching sessions and 1:1s.

You’ll learn how to be professional and write a great CV. You’ll visit a company and you’ll get interview practice.

4-6 weeks

3. We support

Spear Career

You’ll get 1:1 follow-on support to ensure you keep building your confidence as you move into work or study.

We partner with employers to place many trainees into quality roles.

6-12 months
