A major gift will change young people’s lives
Around 1 in 8 young people in the UK are out of work or education. But you can be part of changing the story for thousands of them.
Spear has worked with over 11,500 unemployed young people since we started in 2003. We support those facing the biggest barriers to employment, such as poverty, mental health challenges and low qualifications.
They graduate from the Spear Programme equipped with the skills, confidence and mindset not just to get a job, but to thrive: over 70% of those who complete Spear get into work or study and are still there a year later. It’s not training. It’s transformation.
Government research ranks the Spear Programme as one of the UK’s most effective youth employment programmes.
We’ll work with more than 1,200 young people in the coming year. But we need to reach thousands more around the UK.
You can be part of making that happen.
Hear below from former trainee La’Seye about how the Spear Programme gave her the tools to change her life.
“Spear gave me a way forward, and another chance. It gave me a reason to show up… for myself and my future.”
